I have always liked the look of the OG milkbars that you come across on your travels. Be it the unique typography, the old tiles on the shop fronts or the brand signs that haven’t moved for 40 years, it all draws me visually to them. These are becoming few and far between these days so I wanted to document some of them from my local area.
I spent 4 days driving around country Victoria with 3 friends riding some parks that aren’t visited that often (and some that are) and we made a video from the trip for Colony.
Riders in the video: Jayden Fuller, Sam Grace and Troy Harradine.
Although the predicted rain (that never came) seem to put off about half the regular crew on this trip it was still a fun ride out and around the Alexandra area in Victoria. Here’s a few of my favourites from the trip.
I rode up to Broadford speedway with my dad today, I haven’t seen track racing for probably 25 years and I enjoyed shooting a few photos of what I watched. Next time will bring my long lens but these still came out pretty good.
Another Maryborough motorcycle rally all done with the VMCC. Great weather with a good turnout and some fun roads. Here’s a selection of my faves that I shot.
Due to Covid we missed last years Chiltern rally and we almost missed this years. However lockdown ended literally hours before we needed to leave so we were able to get up there for it and it was well worth it! Always a good time on a Vintage Club Rally. Here’s some of my favourite photos from the trip…
I don’t remember what sparked this project but I really like the idea of documenting something like a house before and after it goes through a change. In this day and age it seems every second house is getting demolished and 3 units go up. So for a few years now I’ve been documenting houses I come across that I think will get flattened at some stage and then shoot the house again after it goes through the change.
This house went down and back up pretty quick, 6 months in between photos – Kilsyth
This next house was actually the very first house I shot when I had the idea, it was 2 years and a half years in between images – Croydon South
I was actually surprised when this house was fenced up, it din’t look that bad but I guess the price was right. It’s actually pretty much opposite the first house I posted, just a few years different – Croydon South
